Building a local service website to compete with a national brand.

Sunrise Seamless, a local seamless gutter company in mid-Michigan, wanted a stronger digital presence. Sunrise wanted to compete online with LeafFilter. The goal was not simply to build Sunrise Seamless a better-looking website. The goal was to make the company easier to find, easier to trust and easier to contact.

The business problem

A local company competing for the same searches as a heavily advertised national brand needs its digital presence to work harder than the competitor’s, not just exist. The primary goals were brand awareness, local search visibility, customer usefulness and easier estimate requests.

Steve did not need someone who only knew WordPress. He needed someone who understood the business behind the website.

The system

The website was built as part of a broader local search system, not as a standalone marketing asset. The system integrates WordPress, Elementor, Rank Math Pro, CompanyCam and Forms DB. The primary conversion is a free estimate request, supported by service-area pages, click-to-call and a project gallery.

The local search work

  • On-site optimization
  • Relevant backlink development
  • Local citations
  • Alignment with the Sunrise Seamless Google Business Profile
  • Consistency across services, geography and business identity

The benchmark, honestly stated

The Sunrise site reached a 95 Rank Math on-site optimization score compared with 67 for the LeafFilter benchmark used during the project.

The score did not guarantee search rankings. It measured the on-site optimization standard used during the project and was one part of a broader local search strategy. What it showed is that the local company could build to a stronger optimization standard than the national competitor being benchmarked.
